Worksop: Man hurt in attempted knifepoint robbery

A man was hurt during an attempted robbery during which a knife was drawn in Worksop.

The victim was walking along Larwood Avenue at about 11pm on Friday 12th June when he noticed he was being followed.

He turned to confront the man behind him, who demanded money and threatened him with a small knife.

The victim pushed his attacker and cut his hand in the process.

Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information about it.

The offender is described as white, in his late 20s and about 5ft 2in tall.

He has curly black hair and a distinctive scar on the right side of his face which lies horizontal under his eye.

He also has a tattoo on the inside of his right arm.

He was wearing a black top with three buttons and black jeans.
