Nathan Newbury, 20, of Hardwick Road East, also admitted possessing cannabis when it was discovered in his vehicle the first time he was stopped by police in July.

He was caught behind the wheel again in August and found to again have no insurance and only a provisional licence, which did not allow him to be driving alone or without L-plates, as he was.

At Worksop Magistrates’ Court, as well a driving ban, he was also given a three-month electronic curfew and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £170 costs.
