Worksop man checks into rehab

A WORKSOP thief has had his case adjourned for three weeks while he attends a rehabilitation clinic.

Anthony Watson, 33, from The Croft, admitted to stealing a Nokia C3 mobile phone worth £140 from Frank Glazebrook on 4th January.

He is due to attend Woodlands on Friday (today) for up to two weeks.

David Verity, defending, said: “I would like to adjourn for three weeks to give time for a fair assessment.”

A probation officer added: “He has got a clear history of compliance. We will see him when he has finished his detox to have an assessment. It is the best way forward.”

Watson’s case has been adjourned to the morning of 5th March. He was released on unconditional bail.
