Everyone remembers a good teacher and young Lacey Wilson will be no exception.

Lacey has just left St Mary’s Pre-School in Worksop and her mum Charlene wanted to thank all the staff at there for helping give her little girl a good start in life.

But in particular, she wanted to thank Ashliegh Turton, whom Lacey had a particular bond with.

And so just before she left, Lacey and her mum presented Ashliegh with a Guardian Rose.

“We have just had to take Lacey out of the school as we are moving home and the school is too far away,” explained Charlene.

“In the time my daughter has been at pre-school with Ashliegh, she has come on so well and is such a cleaver happy little girl.”

“I honestly believe some of that is down to her teachers at St Mary’s and although all of the teachers there are fantastic, I personally feel Ashliegh is amazing, the love and support she shows the children is unbelievable.”

“She’s always happy and smiling, just a genuinely lovely person and I’m sure all the parents and children would agree that she has a heart of gold.”

“You can tell a mile away how much she loves her job and all the children at school.

“All the staff there all go the extra mile and I just wanted to do something to show them how much we all think of them.”

Ashliegh admitted to being stunned when Lacey presented her with the Rose but was delighted to be thought of so highly.

“It has been an absolute pleasure to work as Lacey’s key person and to have had the privilege to watch her develop into the kind, clever little girl she is now,” she said.

“She never fails to make me smile and I’m going to miss her lots, as will all the other staff and her many friends.”

“I wish her the best of luck in her new setting where I’m sure she will settle in brilliantly.”
