Worksop: Inspirational Nigel runs 10k to raise £1,121 for Prostate Cancer UK
Worksop resident Graham Bates, a prostate cancer survivor and volunteer, accepted a cheque on behalf of Prostate Cancer UK from Nigel Dawber at Worksop Station where he works in the ticket office.
Nigel was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and ran the Leeds 10K to raise £710 for PCUK. He ran with his line manager at Northern Rail, Phil Sheard.
Northern Rail generously added another £500 to make a grand total of £1,210.
Nigel has also raised a considerable sum and is spreading the word about prostate cancer at Worksop Railway Station by selling PCUK badges.
