The group have said they have been stopped from having a stall on Worksop market as Bassetlaw District Councillors have complained about them being there.

Norman Biggs said: “You will recollect that Bassetlaw District Council officers allowed us to have a market stall back in April for our first petition signing free of charge even though we were willing to pay.”

“The market traders did not object at all.”

“So this meant for our second petition signing we were relegated to standing on the pavement outside Argos.”

“To date 900 or so people have signed our petition against the proposed Waste Incinerator in Worksop and 200 plus have included their email addresses for further information.”
