Worksop: Girl Guides celebrate long service awards

The event was held at Ramsdale Golf Club, Calverton, and marked the achievements of 53 members and supporters.

Four women from the Worksop division collected their 30 years’ long-service awards. They were: Sue Dickinson, Christine Hagen, Sue Horwood and Ann Dawson.

Margaret Little was presented also with a Thanks badge in recognition of her commitment to the role of health and first aid advisor.

Kate Royse, county commissioner for Girlguiding said: “ It was fabulous to meet so many amazing volunteers.”

“They say that volunteering makes you happy. I think I’ve just met some of the happiest people in Nottinghamshire. Their commitment enables us to continue providing opportunities for girls and young women across the county.”
