Worksop: '˜Flasher' arrested after '˜indecent exposure' to child under 13

A 27-year-old man has been arrested and bailed following an 'indecent exposure' to a child under 13 in Worksop.

It happened in the Prospect area of the town on Friday, May 6 at around 3.30pm. A pupil from Outwood Academy Valley under the age of 13 was involved.

A spokesman for the school said: “Outwood Academy Valley was alerted to an incident on Friday, May 6. As a result, parents were notified via text to increase awareness.

“The Academy continues to work closely with the police, including their on-site police liaison officer.”

Concerning reports of children being followed and “flashed” at in Worksop have been on the rise.

Similar incidents happened on in Febrary next to Manton Cemetery and near Sparken Hill Academy.

They followed another incident on Raines Avenue in January, when a 17-year-old female student from Outwood Academy Valley Post 16 Centre was walking home.

The man was bailed pending further enquiries.
