Worksop man Ryan Terry, the UK’s only IFBB men’s physique professional, will be making an appearance at this weekend’s BodyPower Expo in Birmingham.

Ryan has won a host of titles including European Arnold Classic Champion, British Champion, UK National Champion, Mister Great Britain and Mister International.

And he will be at BodyPower Expo this weekend (16th to 18th May) looking to build upon his incredible success and continue in his bid to reach his ultimate goal to compete in America and be crowned Mr Olympia.

“I joined a gym at the age of 14 which I thought would help to address the self-confidence issues I had developed in my teens,” he said.

“As my confidence grew from training five times a week and seeing the change in my body, I decided I wanted a goal in my training to give me that extra focus and determination.”

“That’s when I decided to face my ultimate fear and step on stage and show people what I was building through hard work in the gym and discipline in the kitchen.”

“At this point I was already a fully qualified plumber, which I loved doing, but fitness was always where my heart was.”

“I started looking around for possible competitions to enter and came across Mister International.”

“It was basically a male beauty pageant.”

“But there was some elements that would show physique, so I decided to enter.”

“I was absolutely gobsmacked when I found I had beaten over 5,000 applicants to win the title of Mister Great Britain in my first competition.”

“From then I have gone from strength to strength, and now hope with all my upcoming shows, I can make it to my goal of competing in Mr Olympia.”

The next step of towards that goal is appearing at BodyPower Expo, which is at the NEC in Birmingham and is gearing up to be bigger than ever.

BodyPower chief executive Nick Orton said: “Year on year we try to add something different to make each event bigger and better than the last.”
