Worksop: Fire service recruiting for retained and on-call roles

The role involves being available to respond as part of a team to emergency incidents in local areas, as well as promoting community safety messages and initiatives.

Station manager, Damien West, who is leading the recruitment process, said: “There’s a huge sense of pride and achievement that comes from providing such an essential service to your local community, and knowing that among the people you are protecting are your family and friends.”

“I would urge anyone thinking about taking up a new challenge this year to contact their local fire station.

Recruitment events are at Worksop Fire Station on Saturday 7th March, 10am-12 noon, Monday 9th March at Misterton Fire Station, 6.30pm-9pm, and on Saturday 28th March at Bingham Fire Station, 10am–3pm.
