Police were made aware of Sean Scott, of Baulk Close, by reports of a disturbance in Worksop town centre.

The court heard how officers heard raised voices from the Corner House pub, and arrived to see Scott, 44, shouting loudly at the pub’s door staff.

Scott was also attempting to shout over the door staff to someone in the beer garden, although it is unknown who the shouts were directed at.

After being removed from the pub, Scott made a number of attempts to go back in, leading staff to eventually push him in the chest.

The bench at Worksop Magistrates’ Court heard how Scott got back to his feet after falling over with a bottle in his hand, which was then smashed on the floor.

Scott continued to shout despite being arrested, throwing his arms around in resistance.

He is said to have shouted: “Don’t you know who I am?” and “I’ve got 40 million in the bank, I’m untouchable.”

Mitigating, David Verity told the court Scott had done “his level best” to stay out of trouble, and found himself alone in the town centre after friends had left.

He said Scott lost control when punched in an “unprovoked assault” by a member of staff.

He added that his client was ashamed of his actions and accepted full responsibiilty.

Scott was fined £120 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.
