Phillip Saywell, 29, of Masefield Place, Worksop, pleaded guilty at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 15th January.

Saywell had drank around three cans of Foster’s when he got in a blue Ford KA on 11th November 2014 to drive to a local shop but he was stopped on Abbey Street and failed a breath test.

In mitigation it was said that Saywell had suffered the loss of four family members recently and that he was very remorseful.

Saywell was fined £600, ordered to pay £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs and banned from driving for 36 months.
