One of 22,000 happy, healthy dogs at Birmingham’s NEC for the world’s largest dog show, three-year-old Millie made sure to take a starring role alongside handler Rebecca Colley by winning the Young Kennel Club’s medium agility ABC competition.

Presented by the Kennel Club, this year’s Crufts marked the 126th edition of the show, which attracts dogs and owners from all over the world as well as thousands of visitors over the course of the four days.

And after enjoying their own moment in the spotlight, Outwood Post 16 Centre pupil Rebecca could not be more delighted with Millie’s performance in the West Midlands.

“It’s been very good and I’m very proud of Millie,” said the 17-year-old, who is a member of North Derbyshire Dog Agility Club.

“It’s really scary but once you’re in the ring you forget everyone is there.

“Millie is really good. She’s clever, always wants to learn and gets things really quickly.

“Crufts is really good. There is so much to do and see. It’s time for chilling and shopping now.”
