The closure notice was granted at Worksop Magistrates Court on Wednesday 5th March 2014, following numerous complaints against tenant Anthony Stewart.
The complaints included all-night parties, drug use, obscene language, strangers visiting the flat late at night, vandalism and littering.
The one-bedroom flat on Lancastrian Way will remain closed for a period of three months while A1 Housing seek to obtain an eviction notice.
Coun Julie Leigh, of Bassetlaw council, said: “Residents should not be forced to suffer anti-social behaviour and have their daily lives made a misery, simply because of the selfish and deplorable actions of one man and his acquaintances.”
“We will continue to do everything within our power to ensure that this type of behaviour has no place in our district.”
Sgt Mike Taylor, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This is a great example of partnership work between the Police and the Joint ASB Team at Bassetlaw to tackle this type of behaviour and address the needs of the community.”
Bernard Coleman, Managing Director at A1 Housing said: “The message is clear, we won’t tolerate this kind of behaviour in our properties and we will take action against those responsible.”
