The white Ford Transit van was taken from the car park at the Christian Centre in Vicar’s walk around 10.50am on Friday (22nd November).

Police said the keys had been left in the ignition.

“Never leave your vehicle with the engine running and never leave items on display in unattended vehicles, even for a minute,” said a Notts Police spokesman.

Operation Christmas Child is the world’s largest children’s Christmas project, run by the Christian charity Samaritan’s Purse.

It has been ending gift-filled shoeboxes around the world since 1990 to more than 100 million underprivileged children.

If you have any information about the above theft or to report suspicious activity around vehicles contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
