Hope Community Services recently hosted a successful Charity Entertainment Night at The Masonic Hall in Worksop.

The evening consisted of performances by local acts - raising a total of £1,200.

The Dukes from Outwood Academy, St Giles school choir, De Burnays Dance Centre and guitarists Laurence Sobieraj and Will Crawford all performed.

The night took place in order to raise awareness of the issues around homelessness within Bassetlaw.

Alan Diggles, Hope’s CEO, said; “The artists were excellent, they will surely go from strength to strength, they wowed the crowd, it was an incredible atmosphere.”

“Through people’s generosity, we were able to generate £1,200, a marvellous effort. At this at a time of year, when most of us are getting ready for the Christmas festivities, being without a home is very hard – but it will now allow us to bring a little bit of cheer into the lives of those who need it most.”
