Worksop & District Chrysanthemum and Horticultural Society held their annual show, with vibrant displays of flowers and vegetables taking centre stage.

Kind weather welcomed competitiors and visitors, with Friday’s downpour subsiding before set-up.

Flower classes included chrysanthemums, dahlias, pelargoniums and fuchsias, along with pot plants and general flowers.

Other sections included vegetables, domestic, and photography.

The ‘casual gardener’ section had a number of impressive entries - the number of potatoes grown in a bucket competition was won with 35 potatoes, and the longest parsnip came in at almost a metre in length.

Over 50 people attended the presentation of trophies by Councillor Judy Dalton at the end of the show.

The group has been running for over 60 years, and attracts competitors from across the county.
