Leaena Fidelis, 44, of Manton, Worksop, was inspired to open her own business after sustaining an injury to her hand while working in a retail warehouse four years ago.

On Friday 18th July, she opened L’adornments Bridal on 10-12 Bridge Place and says the store is doing well.

Said Leaeana: “I have always wanted to open my own business, something glamorous and fun.”

“I had no confidence after my injury and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to bounce back.”

“Our shop is located above menswear store Waddington’s, who are renowned in Worksop for their tailoring- they have been around since the 1930s and know their stuff, so it’s great to establish a friendship with them.”

“The owner, Trevor Waddington, cut the ribbon when we opened on Friday.”

“I would like to give a special mention to Jazzy Signs and also to my fiancee, Richard, who has been my rock throughout the whole process of opening my business.”

Leaeana will be holding a designer weekend from Saturday 9th August- Monday 11th August with 15 percent off Maggie Sottero dresses.

She said: “There will be thirty dresses from the collection which are only just available to view on the Maggie Sottero website.”
