Worksop: Bassetlaw Hospital League of Friends seeks volunteers

The Bassetlaw Hospital League of Friends formed in 1954 and are appealing for volunteers to help run their events and join the committee after members have started to fall.

Pat Barran said: “It is difficult to get people to volunteer as we are quite a specialist group.”

The League of Friends use the money they raise to purchase much needed items for the hospital.

Pat added: “We are trying as hard as we can.”

“You meet a lot of friends and a lot of nice people.”

“You never know when you’re going to need hospital treatment yourself and you have been very lucky if you have never had to attend hospital in your life.”
