She said: “As soon as Steve got involved everything changed for the better. I was at a point were I didnt think this was possible as I felt like I wasn’t getting anywhere.

“But Steve went above and beyond his job role, He helped me support Brayden, giving me advice and working closely with other proffesionals on my behalf.

“Steve went on to get Brayden to open up to him when no one else could, helping people get a better understanding of him and his needs.

He also played a big part in getting Brayden back into full time education after home schooling didn’t work out.”

Although Steve is no longer Catherine’s support worker, he has taken time out of his busy schedule to help her through recent difficulties.

Catherine added: “I have just got back into contact with Steve after finding myself and my son was struggling again with finding suitable support,

“Steve is no longer our family support worker at this time but reassured me that everything would be fine. He began working in his own time and putting the wheels in motion to make Brayden’s life a lot easier.

“I know from experience that it is very hard to come across such caring individuals, and would like to thank Steve and Supporting Families for everything they have and are doing for me and my son.”
