Worksop: 3,000 brownies gather for theme park fun to celebrate centenary
Celebrations were underway at Wheelgate Theme Park on Saturday 17th May as over 3,000 brownies gathered to honour the Brownie Centenary.
Brownies from across Notts, including the Worksop 6th Brownies, were joined by over 500 leaders for a day of exclusive use of the park’s attractions and rides.
The girls enjoyed a variety of specially-planned events including magic, circus-skills and dance workshops and helped to decorate two model elephants as part of Girlguiding’s regional Arts Explosion challenge.
Kate Royse, of Girlguiding Notts, said: “It has been an amazing day for everyone.”
