Woman hurt in Worksop hammer attack

A WOMAN was left hospitalised after being robbed in a hammer attack in Worksop yesterday (Sunday 10th June).

Notts Police are now hunting a man who attacked 25-year-old woman at around 4am on Sunday 10th June.

The woman was walking alone along Plantation Hill, close to the junction of Chesterton Drive, when the incident took place.

It is believed the 25-year-old woman was attacked by the man, and a hammer was used to assault her.

She sustained head injuries and is currently in hospital where she will remain overnight. She is in a stable condition.

The woman’s white Apple iPhone was stolen during the attack.

Police officers say that they are keen to trace a light-blue hatchback vehicle, which may be a Volkswagen Polo, and the occupants who may have witnessed the assault.
