Bruno will be at The Civic Quarter on Friday, June 16, where he will be interviewed and take part in a question and answer session with the audience.

As an amateur, Frank clocked up 20 wins and one loss, and at the age of 18 he was the youngest ever amateur British champion.

As a professional, he fought against the likes of Mike Tyson, and became the WBC world heavyweight champion.

The event is being put on in association with Superstar Speakers, the Mansfield-based celebrity appearances company, and CQ Events.

Jamie Hemmings, from Superstar Speakers, said: “Frank was a British boxer who everyone loved to watch. He came from very little to be one of the best we have produced.

“He went in to showbiz and so will be remembered fondly by people who will have seen him on stage or on screen.

“This is an opportunity to come and see a real hero to many, and a person who has a personal story to tell about the ups and downs of life.”

VIP tickets are £50, and include a cheese and wine reception and the chance to meet Frank for a personal photo.

There will also be a live auction of sporting memorabilia and a limited number of boxing gloves signed by Frank available to pre order.

Tickets are available on 07980 241236 from 10am until 6pm Mondays to Fridays – all main credit and debit cards accepted.
