WIN! 10 family tickets to Worksop Bonfire

We have teamed up with organisers to offer ten family tickets, admitting two adults and three children, to the annual event on Saturday 5th November.

Event spokesman Dave Bennett said this year’s extravaganza was heating up to be the biggest and best bonfire and fireworks display in Bassetlaw.

“We’re expecting a bumper crowd as the event falls on 5th November, so be sure to arrive early to enjoy the atmosphere and attractions,” he said.

The event promises to be a real community night out for all, with a huge bonfire and over £2,500 invested in fireworks - all in a safe environment.

P1 Fitness, based at the Turbine at Shireoaks Business Park, are sponsoring this year’s fireworks, and are proud to be supporting a popular community event at the Worksop Rugby Club.

Said Dave: The Firework Display people have been brought in from Devon and there be lots of bangs, whizzes and crashes for young and old.”

There will also be plenty of stalls selling toffee apples, candy floss, hot dogs and burgers, as well as Ripley’s Believe It Or Not attraction.

The popular attraction deals in bizarre events and items so strange and unusual that the public might question its claims.

The collection contains a vast range of photographs, artefacts and cartoon panels so prepare to be amazed and astonished by what you’ll see on this year’s Bonfire Night.

Visitors are advised that there will be no parking on Stubbing Lane or the estate off Stubbing Lane to help keep the road clear for emergency vehicles.

And don’t forget that safety is important, so wrap up warm and ensure to follow the stewards’ advice.

Gates open at 5pm, followed by the bonfire lighting at 7.30pm and fireworks display at 8pm.

Tickets are priced £3 adults, £1 children and free for under 5s.
