Where are the happiest people in the UK?

People in Mansfield are the third most satisfied in England - according to new report.

Data collected over three years has been used to measure the wellbeing of more than 300,000 people across the UK by the ONS.

In Mansfield 32.3 per cent of people rated their life satisfaction as 9 or 10 out of 10. Nottinghamshire was 30.6, Lincolnshire was 29.2 and Derbyshire was 28.8 per cent.

At the other end of the spectrum in Mansfield just 9 per cent rated their satisfaction as 0 to 4. Lincolnshire was 6.3, Nottinghamshire was 5.5 and Derbyshire was 4.9.

In West Lindsey 38.9 per cent of people rated their happiness as 9 or 10 out of 10 which was the second highest. Bassetlaw was 38 per cent, Bolsover was 37 per cent, Mansfield was 34.9, Lincolnshire was 34.4, Chesterfield was 34 per cent, Derbyshire was 33.8 and Nottinghamshire was 33.2 per cent.

In Bolsover 17.2 per cent of people rated their happiness between 0 and 4. Mansfield was 13.4, West Lindsey was 11.1 per cent, Bassetlaw was 10.4, Chesterfield was 10 per cent, Lincolnshire was 9.4 per cent and Nottinghamshire was 9.3 per cent.

In Bassetlaw 50.2 per cent of people rated their anxiety as 0 to 1 out of 10 which was the highest in the region. Bolsover was 46.9 per cent, Mansfield was 47.2 per cent, Chesterfield was 44.4 per cent, Nottinghamshire was 44.2 per cent, Lincolnshire was 43.8, Derbyshire was 41.3 per cent and West Lindsey was 39.6 per cent.

The most anxious county was Bassetlaw with 18.9 per cent of people rated their anxiety between 6 and 10.

Bolsover was 22.8 per cent, Chesterfield was 18.9 per cent, Nottinghamshire 18.7 per cent, Lincolnshire 18.2 per cent, Mansfield was 17.9 and West Lindsey was 17.5 per cent.
