According to the Met Office, the sunshine and higher temperatures will last for one more day before cloudy conditions and rain come back next week.

On Sunday, early fog patches will clear to leave a fine and dry day, with some decent spells of sunshine and a maximum temperature of 11°C.

The outlook for Monday to Wednesday, however, is for a mostly cloudy start to the week, with fog lifting into low cloud.

The best chance of any sunshine will be in western parts, though it will be cold by night.

The dry but dull weather will give way to rain on Wednesday, with the region perhaps seeing some heavy showers in the early morning.

From Thursday onwards, however, the outlook is looking more settled with fine dry weather and sunny spells forecast for next weekend.
