Water result for pupils

CHARITABLE kids from Worksop’s Kingston Park Primary school really went the extra mile in their attempt to raise money for charity.

Year 5 and 6 pupils did a number of kind-hearted and thoughtful things to raise over £410 for Water Aid.

The students walked for over an hour and a half around Carlton to raise sponsorship from family and neighbours.

The walk also gave them an insight into just a fraction of what African children have to go through to walk for clean water.

“The experience really made the children think and now they are very eager to raise more,” said teacher Leah Smith.

“They also had a bake sale with cakes and buns made by the parents, and some of the year 6s wrote out some explanations of why it is important to raise money and took them around the school to pull at the teachers’ heartstrings.”
