Warning after rabbits stolen from Gainsborough gardens

PET owners are being warned to make sure their gardens are secure after a number of rabbits were stolen in Gainsborough.

In several separate incidents, thieves entered gardens and took the animals in their hutches.

Police are advising people to secure their gardens, mark their hutches in an identifiable way and keep photos of their pets and hutches.

PCSO Tracey Burnett from Gainsborough North Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “If you see anything suspicious or have any information please call Lincolnshire Police on the non-emergency number 101.”

The thefts come just days after livestock were stolen from Wharton Hall Farm Park near Gainsborough.

Chickens, a peacock, two golden pheasants and ten guinea fowl were swiped over night between Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th April,

Call Lincolnshire Police with information on 101 quoting incident 261 of 25th April.
