Aston folk learned what life was like in the area during wartime at the weekend.
The event, organised by the Aston-cum-Aughton History Group, was held as part of the Heritage Open Days at the William Layne Reading Room on Aughton Lane.
Memorabilia from the local area during the two World Wars was on display for people to browse, along with general local history displays.
The weekend was a huge success with a steady stream of visitors calling in for a look.
The group meets in the William Layne Reading Room from September to July on the first and third Mondays of the month from 7pm.
Speakers are occasionally invited to talk about various aspects of local history. Visitors are welcome at the talks, with a charge of £1.50, including refreshments.
