The team of four Foundation students walked from the Tanyard in Wickersley to the college’s Rother Valley Campus in Dinnington on a route that took them through Thurcroft and Laughton-en-le-Morten. They managed to make it to the college in one hour and 45 minutes.

They aimed to raise as much money as possible for the local animal sanctuary.

The students took part in the walk as part of a qualification they are studying. Tutor Jayne Abrahams said: “It’s great to get students back into the community raising money for good causes like Thornberry. They put a lot of work into getting sponsorship and doing the walk.”
