The programme, run by West Lindsey Leisure Centre, is based at three schools, St Georges, Mercer Wood and Hemswell Cliff Primary School, it runs for 12 weeks and is designed for families who are interested in living a healthier lifestyle.

Each session consists of practical skills based activities which are designed to develop confidence and the fundamental movements of sports as well as fun cookery sessions with professional visitors and experiments for the families to try out.

The Fit Kids programme is closely linked with the Sporting FUNdamentals Programme, which has been running for the last five school terms and also develops skills and knowledge in living a healthy lifestyle as an after school club.
