The shed, modelled on the cockpit of Han Solo’s iconic Millennium Falcon starship, will today take pride of place at Stonebridge City Farm in St Ann’s, Nottingham.

This carpentry masterpiece has been donated by the garden centre, who have previously donated a cabin for animal handling sessions where children were able to cuddle guinea pigs, rabbits and chicks.

Marie Rogers, farm manager, said: “We’re delighted to have this inter-galactic ‘shed’ at the farm and we just know the kids will be lining up to play in it, complete with control panels.”

The landing of the Millennium Falcon at Stonebridge will be celebrated with characters from the Star Wars saga, including its pilot Han Solo, Princess Leia and their evil nemesis Darth Vader.

Representatives from Waltons will also be present to help with the unveiling.
