VIDEO: Notts Police appeal after vicious assault on shopkeeper

Notts Police are investigating a vicious assault during a robbery which left a shopkeeper with a fractured eye socket.

Police have released footage of the attackers in the hope they can be identified.

The attack happened between 9.50pm and 10pm on Tuesday 3rd March, as the owner of MV Supermarkets in Eastham Road, Arnold, was closing up for the night.

Three men entered the store and knocked the owner to the floor, punching and kicking him to the head, face and body.

The cigarette kiosk was subsequently robbed, with up to £5,000 worth of various brands of cigarettes taken.

All three attackers are described as being aged between 22 and 28-years-old, of muscular build and were wearing dark clothing with black jackets.

Det Insp Rich Monk, of Notts Police, said: “This was a particularly violent and nasty attack which the shopkeeper was fortunate to be able to walk away from.”

“We need to find the three men in this footage and we believe the public can help us do it.“

“If you have any information at all about this robbery we would urge you to call ourselves or Crimestoppers without delay.”
