VIDEO: Lorry fire on East Midlands motorway causes traffic chaos
Motorists are being warned after an earlier lorry fire on the East Midlands motorway is still causing major traffic problems this morning (November 17).
The HGV caught on fire after a collision on the northbound stretch of the M1 between J28 for Alfreton and J29 for Chesterfield.
Highways England has released images of the incident, which caused one lane to be closed for the lorry to be recovered.
All lanes have now been re-opened but congestion remains approaching J27 for Hucknall.
