Video: Hundreds turn up to support Liam Buckley’s wacky hat and hair party
The aim of the night was to raise money for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity in Sheffield, which is where Liam is being treated for bowel cancer.
On the evening there was live music from the Dukes and Showbitz, an auction and buffet.

Local businesses joined in and supported the community by donating raffle prizes.
Some of the prizes included a rug from Priory Carpets, a signed cricket bat from when England played Australia, a day at Newmarket races and a spa day.

Janet, Liam’s mum said: “Lots of people turned up on the night, we had 227 people altogether with some fantastic head wear, which helped us raised £2293.83.”
“We all had a great night and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us.”
“Liam really enjoyed it, he is a bit tired now so resting at home.”
