A number of caravans have descended on the Bridge Street car park, next to the old derelict Guildhall site.

The car park is run by West Lindsey District Council.

Chief operating officer for the council, Mark Sturgess said: “We are working closely with Lincolnshire County Council’s liaison officer and the travellers to resolve the situation in an amicable manner.

“We are currently in talks with our enforcement provider and the police to make sure matters are dealt with appropriately.”
