UPDATE: Robin Hood Airport now open again after crashed plane is moved off the runway

Robin Hood Airport in Doncaster has re-opened after the plane that crash-landed at the venue last night was moved from the runway.

The airport had been closed since last night (Friday, 15th August) after a LinksAir flight from Belfast crash-landed after suffering a problem with its undercarriage.

But the runway is now clear and services are now getting back to normal.

Two crew members and one passenger were on board the plane that crashed and the passenger was taken to hospital for a check-up after incident.

Crash investigators spent the morning at the scene before the plane was moved off the runway early this afternoon.
