Two new Nottinghamshire police dogs graduate

Police dogs Wolf and Monty join Nottinghamshire Police as they complete their licencing.

The dogs began the course in April 2017 and showcased their skills at a small ceremony in front of their handlers and family a training field yesterday (June 28).

PD Wolf is a 15-month-old German Shepherd X Malinois and has been training in preparation for the past 12 months.

PD Monty, a three-year-old German Shepherd, came to us from South Yorkshire police.

Four-year-old PD Eric, also a German Shepherd, isn’t far behind them and is due to complete his licencing in a few weeks. He will be joining PD Wolf and PD Monty as they start their careers as general purpose police dogs for the force.

The duo will go out on their first shifts next week.
