Two arrested after police car rammed in Manton

Two men were arrested following a police pursuit in Manton, which resulted in a police car being rammed.

Officers attempted to stop a car reported to have been stolen from an address in Creswell.

After ramming into the police car the occupants exited the vehicle but both were arrested at the scene.

The collision happened at about 2.45am yesterday (Thursday December 20) in Shrewsbury Road, Manton.

Two police officers injured during the incident were taken to hospital as a precaution.

They were not seriously injured and were subsequently discharged.

Two men, both aged 30, were arrested on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm, theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving.
