Twenty-six year-old man up before magistrates for aggravated burglary and production of cannabis

A 26 year-old man is due before magistrates today (May 19) after a Bassetlaw man was tied up in his own home and assaulted during a burglary.

The 26 year-old male, arrested yesterday, has been charged with aggravated burglary and the production of cannabis and will appear before Mansfield Magistrates.

The court appearance comes after police were called out to the Grove area of Retford at around 7.30pm on February 16 after receiving a report that a man had been assaulted and tied up whilst a substantial amount of jewellery was stolen by two masked men.
