TV’s Duke is all set to ride into town

THE legendary David Dickinson brings his ITV1 show Dickinson’s Real Deal to Gainsborough on Saturday 19th May.

Queues are expected at West Lindsey Leisure Centre as people bring their antiques and collectables for valuation.

The antiques show, which airs between 3pm and 4pm on weekdays, has attracted a firm following of fans.

Members of the public are invited to bring their items along, in the hope that expert dealers will snap them up for a healthy sum.

The alternative, if the price isn’t right, is to try their luck at auction.

“It’s great to bring the show to Gainsborough, a place we haven’t visited before,” said host David Dickinson. “I remember visiting Lincolnshire in a previous series and the quality of the items brought in by members of the public was fantastic, they had lots of history and great stories attached to the items.”

Now in its eighth series, Dickinson’s Real Deal is regularly watched by over a million people, making it the most popular daytime show on ITV. So dust off your antiques and join David and the dealers as they search for some real bobby dazzlers in Gainsborough.

Last time the show was in the area, Barry from Doncaster got £350 from a dealer for his two silver bowls, and Linda from Lincoln sold two coach lamps at auction for £950.

You can call the team beforehand to tell them about your item on 0117 970 7618. Or just turn up on Saturday 19th May at West Lindsey Leisure Centre, The Avenue, Gainsborough. Admission is free.
