The gritter got stuck today (January 14) at the top of Blyth Road in Worksop, about 100 metres south of the Bassetlaw Hospital entrance.

In a video shared to Facebook group Worksop, News, Views and Chat, the gritter can be seen struggling to move off the road due to the snowy and icy conditions, causing traffic to build up behind.

A yellow weather warning from the Met Office for snow and ice is in place for Workop as the white stuff is forecast to keep falling until 7pm this evening.

The snow has caused travel and traffic problems for people across Nottinghamshire and motorists are encouraged to only drive if it is absolutely essential.
