A1 closed in Nottinghamshire after offal spills onto carriageway

The A1 in Nottinghamshire has been closed after a load of offal was spilled over the carriageway this evening.

The road was closed northbound between the A620 for Ranby and Retford, and the A634 for Blyth due to the shed load.

Highways England said at around 9pm that police and traffic officers were at the scene, with specialist clean-up crews having been requested.

Diversions are in place, with motorists advised to follow the solid circle signs taking them onto the M1 via the A57.
