Training from top equestrian star

A GROUP of apprentices were given some top level training during a visit by one of the world’s most celebrated equestrians.

The masterclass was staged by Yogi Breisner for young people preparing for careers working at the Parklands Equestrian Centre at Aston.

Yogi, who managed the British eventing team last summer and steered them to silver at the Olympics, was invited by Stubbing Court Training. He has helped the eventing squad win dozens of medals at world, European and Olympic level over the last 12 years.

A former member of the Swedish eventing team, Yogi is also known for his work with racehorses and jockeys on improving jumping technique.

He said: “The Stubbin Court programme is very valuable for young people who want to work in the equestrian industry. The very nature of working in this industry is about practical experience. Therefore doing an apprenticeship is preparing the young people for their future in a very constructive way.”
