The M1 in South Yorkshire has re-opened following a collision which led to the closure of the southbound stretch this morning.

A multi-vehicle smash was reported to emergency services between Junction 31 at Aston and Junction 30 at Barlborough at 6.30am.

It led to the closure of all three southbound lanes between the two junctions.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said the motorway re-opened at around 7.20am.
