A MATRIMONIAL display was created by Gainsborough Mothers Union to celebrate National Marriage Week.

The display in All Saints Parish Church, in Church Street, featured items such as wedding dresses, cakes, flowers and photo albums.

Sheila Knight, who helped create the display, said: “Marriage Week promotes the union of a man and a woman who make permanent and exclusive commitment to one another.”

“Mothers Union believe that a happy marriage is of value to family life and to society as a whole.”

Gainsborough Mothers Union meet on the 3rd Monday each month at St George’s Community Centre at 2pm. New faces welcome.
