The home is run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust and offers care for up to 15 adults, within three separate purpose built bungalows.

The John Street tombola and ‘what’s in the bottle’ stall gave residents and staff an opportunity to meet local people and raise awareness of learning disabilities.

John Street’s registered manager Rachel Oxtobty said: “Learning Disability Week is all about changing people’s attitudes towards learning disabled people.”

“Thurcroft Gala is such a great event for everyone in our community and we really enjoyed joining in with all the fun.”
