Thurcroft raises money for Niamh Power

A CONCERNED mum pulled out all the stops to raise money for a Maltby schoolgirl battling a brain tumour.

Hayley Ball held a charity disco at Thurcroft Welfare Community Hall last month to help raise money for Niamh Power’s cancer treatment.

She found out about Niamh’s condition and her treatment after seeing it on Facebook and decided that she had to help.

Hayley does not know Niamh or her family but said when she heard about her condition her ‘heart just went out to her’ and she wanted to do anything she could to help.

Hayley organised the fundraiser which raised £890.60 and included a disco, tombola and raffle in just two weeks and pulled in a crowd of 120 people.

Thurcroft Community Hall director Kevin Booth said they were delighted to help.
