Thurcroft: Coffee morning raises £250 for cancer charity

Thurcroft housebuilder Barratt Homes hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning at its developments on Friday 26th September to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Site staff and local residents attending the coffee mornings at The Hedgerows in Thurcroft enjoyed tea, coffee and a variety of cakes to raise money for the charity.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s largest fundraising event of the year and saw staff gather to raise money for a very special cause.

Sam Wood, sales director at Barratt Homes’ Yorkshire West Division, said he was ‘delighted’ to have took part.

Mr Wood said:“The Macmillan coffee mornings we held across South Yorks brought our staff, residents and local people together to raise money for a very important charity.”

“ It is important for us to engage with our local communities and we would like to thank everyone who attended and donated coffee and delicious cakes,” he added.

The day raised over £250 for Macmillan, who support people living with cancer and their families.
