Thoresby: Talented chefs to cook up a treat at FoodFest

Talented chefs will be cooking up a number of delicious treats at the Spring FoodFest at Thoresby Court.

The demonstrations in the Kitchen Theatre will feature special tips on how to prepare Spanish and Italian influenced dished and canapes and nibbles.

The event, which takes place on the 12th and 13 of April between 10am-4pm, is a celebration of local food and to mark the occasion there will be a retail Food Fair which will give the opportunity to sample local produce as well as a children’s Easter egg hunt.

FoodFest organiser Alison Lowe, of Nottingham-based Adelanta Events said: “We’re so thrilled to have the support of so many fine local chefs.”

“It’s great to be able to showcase local talent.”

“They are a crucial part of the Nottinghamshire food scene and they should be celebrated as local food heroes.”

Admission to the FoodFest is free, as is on-site parking at Thoresby Courtyard.

The cooking demos will include the county’s professional home economist, Teresa Bovey, Claire Tuttey of the Nottingham School of Cookery, Simon Pongetti of the Fellows, Morton & Clayton and many more.
